Our story

We kept watching good clinics lose patients to paperwork.

Klauve was started by two people who came at the same problem from opposite sides — one building healthcare software, one working inside a practice — and decided to fix it together.

Why we started

The care was never the problem. It was everything around it — the referral that sat in a fax tray, the form that was typed in twice, the patient nobody called back. We built Klauve so a clinic of any size could afford to get that part right.

Josh had spent years building software in healthcare and kept seeing the same thing: clinics running their front office on a pile of tools that did not talk to each other, with a person in the middle copying information from one to the next.

Jerry had seen it from the other side, inside a physiotherapy practice — how a patient who had been referred, and wanted to come, could still be lost somewhere between the fax machine and the schedule.

The software that solved this already existed. It was priced for large groups, sold on long contracts, and needed someone whose job was to run it. The independent clinics we knew had none of those things.

So we set ourselves one goal: build a tool that is affordable and easy to use, and that does the whole job. That is Klauve.

The founders

Two people. No sales team in between.

Co-founder, product & engineering

Josh Woods

Software developer who has spent years building for healthcare.

Josh is a software developer with years of experience building software in the healthcare space. He has seen from the inside how much of a clinic's day goes to moving the same information between systems that were never designed to talk to each other.

He designs and builds Klauve — the scheduling, the fax reading, the insurance checks, the record-keeping underneath — and still answers when a practice has a question about how it works.

Co-founder, marketing & growth

Jerry Lee

Came from inside a physiotherapy practice, and now leads marketing for Klauve.

Jerry came to Klauve from Focus Physiotherapy. Having worked inside a practice, he knows what it takes to turn a referral or a website visit into a patient who actually arrives — and how often that chain breaks for reasons that have nothing to do with the quality of care.

He leads marketing for Klauve and makes sure what we build matches how a practice really fills its schedule.

What we believe

Three things we hold ourselves to.

01

Affordable is a design constraint

Good front-office software has mostly been priced for groups with a department to run it. We build for the practice with two people at the desk, and price it so they can say yes.

02

Easy means nobody needs training

If a feature needs a manual, the front desk will not have time to read it. Every screen is judged by whether someone can use it between two phone calls.

03

The whole job, not a piece of it

A tool that fixes scheduling and leaves the fax tray alone has moved the problem, not solved it. Klauve covers the front office end to end, on one patient record.
