Klauve (“Klauve,” “we,” “us”) provides a patient-communication and scheduling platform used by medical practices. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you are a patient of a practice that uses Klauve, the practice is the controller of your information and Klauve processes it on their behalf.

Information we collect

We collect information you or your provider give us — such as your name, email address, mobile phone number, date of birth, address, insurance details, and appointment information — and basic technical data (such as device and usage information) needed to operate the service.

SMS / text messaging program

If you provide your mobile number and consent (for example, when you book an appointment or submit a request on your provider’s website), you may receive SMS text messages such as appointment confirmations, reminders, and scheduling follow-ups. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of receiving care.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties.

How we use information

We use information to schedule and confirm appointments, send the communications described above, operate and improve the service, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

How we share information

We share information with the medical practice you interact with, and with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting, email, and messaging vendors) under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations. As stated above, mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never shared for marketing purposes. We may disclose information where required by law.

Data security & health information

We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. Where Klauve processes protected health information on behalf of a practice, it does so under a Business Associate Agreement consistent with HIPAA.

Your choices

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may contact us to access, correct, or delete your information, subject to your provider’s instructions and applicable law.
